Opening scene: a
camera scans into a shadowy room showing the meager surroundings of Jana Kay
Williams in a single room apartment. She is shivering, cold, and frightened,
lying on her bed covered with a tattered blanket as she hears the roar of an
erupting volcano that shakes her building.
She peers out a cracked and dirty window viewing the world now on Earth...
dark, bitter cold, deteriorating, with
an obscure sky above.
With unending corporate greed and no appreciation
for the planet, the people of Earth polluted and destroyed the ecosystem of a
once viable planet. She rises, shaking
in the cold, and dresses for her long walk to the shuttle base where she has
been fortunate enough to be chosen to work. Earth can no longer support life.
Now, Jana runs to
the Waseakan Base splashing though the contaminated mud and freezing rain. The
stench from the polluted air burns the inside of her nose with each breath. The
camera shows glimpses of the dark sky and the fiery eruptions of close-by
eruptions. She reaches the domes erected
by the Waseakans to house the shuttle base and protect their people from the
hazards of Earth. Entering the dome, she removes her wet, ragged coat and hangs
it to dry. She walks to the office to read the latest postings of the RED LIST;
these are the people that will be transported today to a new planet. Lenora is
a planet in another galaxy, providing pure land and clean air for the chosen
population of Earth to re-settle.
In the beginning on
Earth the Waseakans had chosen the planet Earth to be their penal colony 2089
years ago to give the prisoners a chance to start a new life on Earth far away
from the home world the planet Zentorien in another galaxy. The Waseakan
Council would not let the people of Earth destroy Lenora in the manner they had
destroyed Earth. The Waseakans felt an obligation to rescue the ones they felt
would build Lenora and honor the ecosystem of their new home, since they were at
least their distant relatives.
Jana does not find
her name on the RED LIST and proceeds to work organizing the people anxiously
waiting outside the dome praying they are one of the chosen ones to leave Earth
today. Soaring overhead the camera closes in on the scared and sullied people. The
Earth rumbles and tornadoes swirl in the sky above causing panic among the
already terrified group. Jana has a way with the alarmed group and is always
able to settle them down and perform her duties. As she ushers the waiting RED
LIST people quickly inside the dome, she informs the others to try again
The Waseakan Council
makes the selections for the RED LIST and after a choice is made there are no exceptions.
The selection for the RED LIST is a complex yet considered a perfect solution
for the civilization on Earth. The selected ones must be free of any criminal
record, healthy, no divorce, and be willing to abide by the Waseakan way of
transports, large shuttlecrafts, transport people to the planet Lenora… a 45-minute
trip through the wormhole to Zentorien airspace. The camera shows the ships
landing at the Lenora base with a lavender sky and two suns. The planet is much
like Earth was in the beginning, with the exception of the lavender sky, two
suns, diverse vegetation, different animals, and rolling landscapes with hills
and magnificent mountains.
Jana searches the
base to find Captain Gapperto and try to help him for the day as she has fallen
in love with this handsome Waseakan. Waseakans live in a society of pre-planned
marriages to insure genetic perfection. They do not have the freedom to love or
choose their mate, which is handled by the Waseakan Council. Captain Tosortan Gapperto is the son of the
Grand General of the Waseakan Council. Tosortan already has a selected mate.
When he heard of the
Failsafe Project to save the people of Earth he volunteered to pilot a shuttle,
Cryon 24, which can carry 2000 people a trip. At the end of one of her days at
work she watches Cryon 24 rise in the dark sky as many tornados surround the
ship and toss it in the atmosphere and then it disappeared in front of her
eyes. She sobs all the ways back to her apartment fighting off beggars as she
travels her perilous trip home.
After her morning
ritual of battling her way to the base, avoiding lava flows, flying debris,
toxic rain, and evading confrontations with the beggars. Jana’s first stop was
the office to ask Captain Elieue if Cryon 24 had made the trip though the wormhole
to safety. Once satisfied that Tosortan was alive and his ship was under repair
she continued her day as usual waiting for his return. The tornados and heavy rains
battered the dome, frightening the waiting crowds.
Captain Gapperto is
curious about Jana and initially wants to help her and see to her needs. As
time progresses they become more involved and Captain Gapperto receives
permission to appoint Jana as his Shuttle assistant, therefore he will be able
to care for her. Jana is strong willed, yet obedient to Captain Gapperto. She
is pretty and rather thin due to the lack of food on Earth. Captain Elieue, the
base captain, can see the affection developing between Jana and Tosortan; he
gives Tosortan a warning of what would happen on the home world if it was
noticed by anyone else.
The following scenes
revolve around Jana, Tosortan, the environment worsening on Earth, and the rescue
missions that set a new path for Jana and Tosortan. Many ships depart daily from around the Earth
for Lenora and the trips are becoming more urgent with each days passing. The
transports are encountering more serious environmental problems and the
Waseakan Council has to restrain the out of control crowds by enforcing the use
of the Peacekeeper weapon. This is a weapon that when discharged, you fall to
the ground and awaken confused and calm.
Jana and Tosortan
are involved in a heroic rescue of Tosortan’s best friend. In significant
jeopardy themselves, they will not give up the search for the downed ship until
it is found. Jana is presented the Medal of Valor by the Waseakan Council for
her fearless efforts in the rescue missions. The Grand General is impressed
with Jana and her overwhelming loyalty to the rescue project Failsafe.
With time passing
and Jana able to travel to all the planets in the Katarror Galaxy, she is
welcomed into the home of the Grand General and his wife Norette. The Grand General proceeds to accomplish the
vote to add Jana’s name to the RED LIST. Since his son Tosortan has chosen to
follow his education of research science and already has a chosen mate, he
plans to adopt Jana as his daughter and become his right-hand consultant at the
Waseakan Council. Norette is aware of the affection between Jana and Tosortan
and warns them of the consequences. They are not deterred from their love for each
There is a growing
organization on Zentorien, against genetic mate selection, called the Reformist
Movement of which Tosortan is the leader. While the transports from the
decaying Earth continue with many scenes of devastation and havoc, Jana and
Tosortan continue to explore what life could hold for them. There is another
planet being prepared in the Katarror Galaxy and it will be the new penal
colony. Jana and Tosortan, if discovered, could be sent there.
There are beautiful
scenes of the planets Zentorien, which is a green planet with no pollution,
Plasser the educational planet where all the great learning institutions located,
and Lenora the relocation planet for the survivors of Earth to make their new
homes. When Earth’s population first arrives on Lenora they receive medical
care, clean clothing, and temporary housing. Everything initially seems
wonderful, until the Waseakan Council starts assigning people to their
designated positions on Lenora. They are tested and classified as to their
specific qualities to which they would be best suited.
The base in sector
4009 (Chicago base) that Jana and Tosortan were assigned was being overtaken by
the Great Lakes boiling waters that were filled with erupting volcanos. The
base was moved to an abandoned airport at Quebec Canada. The air was almost
unbreathable and Jana would wear a facemask when outside the shuttle. She would
also have a guard carrying the Peacekeeper weapon to insure her safety when
organizing the groups of people begging to flee Earth.
The days of the
Waseakan bases on Earth were coming to a close.
They were finished sending the massive maintenance ships to Earth to
repair and build new domed bases. People were starving and dying on Earth and
the Waseakan felt they had lost enough of their shuttles and crews trying to
save their distant relatives. After all they were related to the Waseakans on
Zentorien. Over the years the Waseakan Council had sent specialists to Earth to
blend into society and help in specialized fields, but the citizens on Earth
chose to ignore the guidance offered by these consultants.
When the Earth could
sustain life no more the Waseakans were called home and the council sent the
Zentora, their mother ship to Earth’s atmosphere to help transport as many of
the last survivors as possible. There were only a few bases left and the last
of the transport ships were landing in the shuttle bays on the mother ship. The
last ship off Earth was Cryon 24. Jana and Tosortan had crowded 2500 people on
the last ship off Earth. As they struggled in flight with the exploding Earth behind
them, debris battering the ship, they watched the Zentora fade into the wormhole.
Battered and failing Cryon 24 climbed as the Earth threw all she had at them
disappearing into the wormhole. The people were injured, screaming, and crying
as the ship struggled toward Zentorien space. When they emerged from the
wormhole there were ships standing by to help Cryon 24. Landing was rough and
the last screams of fear broke into a joyous laughter knowing they were safe.
The Grand General
was at the Lenora base waiting for the last ship, Cryon 24, to return home. He
had his driver take him to the ship as soon as it was on the ground… equally
happy and grateful to see both Tosortan and Jana. Tosortan and Jana are
escorted to his parents’ home and are grateful to be on a shuttle traveling to
Zentorien. The days for Jana and Tosortan are a joyous short time until the
plan of the Grand General is announced over dinner. Jana will become his
daughter and his right-hand consultant at the Council.
Tosortan will return
to his education while he and Jana will run the Reformist group planning for
the future in secret. The Reformist Movement is gaining members both Waseakan
and Tyronians (Earth Humans). They have found
a common cause to bring them together for the perilous struggle to change the Waseakan way of life and the genetic
selection for marriage. This will become the most heart-wrenching war the
Waseakans have ever fought. They are ruthless warriors and take no survivors in
wartime. Nevertheless, this war will be against their own people with the same
might they would show any other adversary.
On Lenora life appears to be everything the Tyronians were promised
when they departed Earth. It was all
they could have hoped for and more so they thought. They had medical care,
clean housing, clothing, and food to nourish their frail bodies back to good
health. They were starving and without medical care on Earth. Lenora seemed at
first the answer to their prayers.
It was after several weeks of nurturing the Tyronians into restored
health that the testing began. They were prodded, examined, and evaluated as to
education and skills. They were then assigned to the specific areas of the vocation
that best suited them. Women were sent with their husbands unless they were
knowledgeable in a specific field that would help with the new Tyronian
colonies. They would be sent to the
colony that needed their skills the most. This was an unexpected turn of events
for the Tyronians and caused considerable unrest among the new colonies on
Many of the Tyronians were grateful and accepted the administration
of the Waseakans. They were happy to be alive and assumed their role in making
Lenora their new home. On the other hand, there were groups of discontent and
they found their way to the Waseakan Reformists Movement and joined whole-heartedly. They were willing to fight to change the ways
of the Waseakan Council, not knowing the full brutality of war against the
Meanwhile they would live in harmony amongst the colonies and
perform as the Waseakans expected of them. Life was good and food was
plentiful. The planet Lenora was picturesque and with the two lavender suns the
fields of planted grain, corn, and other needed vegetables to sustain life were
plentiful. The herds of permas were massive and the meat was healthy and
flavorful. Lenora is a planet of extraordinary splendor, with vegetation never
seen by the Tyronians, birds, animals, and insects never viewed on Earth.
Lenora was a planet of wondrous sites, and underlying unrest among the
Jana and Tosortan found time to explore other planets and fall
deeper in love, which could send them both to the new Penal colony to live out
their lives in hard labor. They were
determined to multiply the Reformist group and fight the great Waseakan
Council, a feat no other adversary had ever been able to accomplish. Their
stolen moments together were of two young people exploring their newfound love
and the lush surroundings of the planets of the Katarror Galaxy.
The conversion of the Tyronians is not commencing as planned, which
is not a situation the Waseakan Council will deal mercifully with. The
struggle, war, and the love of Tosortan and Jana will all face the
confrontation with the undefeated Waseakan Military might. The Reformist Group
will make sacrifices beyond what anyone could conceive. The struggle for
freedom will commence with many turns and unexpected developments. Let the
